About the Author
George T. Patterson, Assistant Professor of Social Work at Hunter College School of Social Work of the City University of New York, teaches courses primarily in social work research.
He has practice and research experience in police social work and has numerous publications related to law enforcement and police social work practice. His practice experience has focused on conducting research and training intended to assist police officers with improving their community service functions, and coping with work and life stress. In addition, he has written numerous instructor manuals that contain test bank questions designed to enhance a variety of social work courses.
He is currently working on a project to improve the training that police recruits receive to address their own mental health issues and those of their families.
